Dog Sport Collection

Chevalier wants to be a part of every aspect of hunting and shooting – from practice and training to the real thing, for dogs and dog handlers alike. Producing a good hunting dog calls for many hours of training, and above all great passion. The Chevalier Dog Sport Collection is specially developed for dog trainers who work actively with their hunting dogs. Clothes that have those extra functions so important to dog sports, with a flexible fit and attractive design.

About the Dog Sport Collection

The Dog Sport Collection has been developed in association with retriever handler and picker-up Ida Nilsson. She runs Croftbay Gundogs and has long experience of bird shooting, and especially picking-up.

Ida first came into contact with hunting through her interest in dogs, and since that day almost 20 years ago she has had many dogs and been on even more bird shoots. Ida puts a lot of time into training her working Labradors, partly with the aim of competing, but mainly to help out as a reliable picker-up on autumn shoots.

"I’m a hunter and shooter myself, but perhaps above all a dog trainer. I just love training my dogs! A skilled gun dog makes the shoot so much more fun,” says Ida.

Working alongside our design and product team, Ida has developed a collection to suit every situation where you work with your dog. Clothing with all the right functions, that also keeps you looking good. The Dog Sport Collection includes a shirt, a merino wool pullover, top and cap – perfect complements to the Dog Sport Vest and Vintage Pants already in the range. Clothes with a classic cut and nice feminine details.

Blair Shooting Fit Women’s Shirt

The Blair shirt is a feminine shirt designed with a tailored silhouette while featuring our Shooting Fit, which provides extra room across the back and shoulders for enhanced freedom of movement.

Made from a stretch fabric, the Blair shirt is designed to give you optimal mobility – whether you're bending down to retrieve game or communicating with your dog in the field. The shirt is also slightly longer, allowing it to be comfortably tucked into your trousers without coming loose when you move.

"This sweater is made from what I would call a Rolls-Royce material – thin, soft, and flexible, allowing me to move freely without feeling restricted. I like sweaters that rise up around the neck, but that can also be opened for ventilation and to reveal the shirt underneath.

The buttons become a beautiful detail whether they are open or closed. This is a sweater I’ve truly been missing in my wardrobe – neat, feminine, and in a colour that works perfectly with the rest of my hunting wardrobe."

"For me, it’s important that a cap doesn’t just protect against the sun, but also works on rainy and windy days. The waxed cotton fabric is more resistant to the elements, and it also feels more refined and luxurious.

Another advantage is that I can easily wipe off dirt and mud that splashes up when the dogs are working around me. Vintage Dog Sport Vest

The Vintage Dog Sport Vest is available for both women and men. It is the perfect vest for dog training, developed in collaboration with renowned dog trainer Mattias Westerlund, founder of Hundskolan Vision.

Designed to be durable and easy to wipe clean, the vest features numerous pockets and practical functions that make training sessions smoother and more efficient.

This dog sport vest is made from Chevalier’s Vintage fabric with refined Alcantara details. The Alcantara panels on the front are lightly padded and quilted, adding both comfort and durability. The vest features a two-way YKK zipper, allowing it to be opened from both the top and the bottom for greater flexibility.

The pockets are spacious and adjustable in size with snap buttons. The right-hand bellows pocket includes a secure zippered pocket for safely storing valuables. The large rear game pocket can also be adjusted in volume using hidden snap buttons. It easily holds several training dummies, leads, or other essentials needed during dog training.
