Care Instructions

Wash Less – Air More

We often wash our garments more than necessary. Washing causes wear, fades colours, and shortens a garment’s lifespan. Air your clothes regularly – it refreshes them without unnecessary wear.

Care for Different Materials

Garments with Chevalite

  • Always follow the care label inside the garment.
  • Close all zippers, buttons, and buckles.
  • Wash inside out using a small amount of liquid detergent.
  • Avoid fabric softener.
  • Rinse twice and use a gentle spin cycle.
  • Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry.
  • Reactivate water repellency with heat – for example, using an iron with a cloth in between.
  • Reproof when needed using a PFC-free spray or wash-in treatment.

Gore-Tex Garments

  • Follow the garment’s care instructions.
  • Do not wash together with heavily soiled items.
  • Avoid powder detergents, fabric softener, and bleach.
  • Rinse twice and use a gentle spin cycle.
  • Tumble dry or hang to dry, then reactivate with heat.
  • Reproof regularly using a PFC-free treatment.

Wool Garments

  • Air frequently – wool cleans itself naturally.
  • Use detergent specifically for wool.
  • Hand wash or use a wool programme.
  • Dry flat – never tumble dry or expose to direct sunlight.

Vintage Fabric
