Ambassador Markus Sämmer

Markus Sämmer is a German outdoor chef, cookbook author and passionate hunter. After many years working in professional kitchens in Munich, he chose a different path – combining his love for cooking with a life spent outdoors. Through his book series The Great Outdoors, television appearances and workshops, he inspires people to cook in nature and make the most of ingredients sourced directly from the wild.

Hunting became a natural part of Markus’ journey towards a more conscious and sustainable way of cooking. For him, hunting is not only about serving game on the plate, but about respecting nature, responsible wildlife management and using every part of the animal – from forest to table.

His favourite Chevalier garments are the Loden Jacket and Loden Pants. The natural wool fabric is quiet in movement and performs just as well during a day of hunting as when cooking over an open fire in the forest.

"When I’m out in nature, I want to focus on the experience – the hunt, the food and the people I share it with. Chevalier’s clothing performs in every situation and combines function, tradition and style."

Favourite hunt: Stalking in forests and mountain terrain
Favourite game: Roe deer
Favourite Chevalier garment: Loden Jacket & Loden Pants + Hunter Stretch Zip Hoodie

Ambassador Johannes Thingnes Bö

Johannes Thingnes Bø is one of the world’s most successful biathletes, with multiple Olympic medals and World Championship titles to his name. Growing up in Stryn on the west coast of Norway, he developed a strong connection to nature from an early age. Skiing, hunting and time spent in the mountains have always been a natural part of life for Johannes.

While biathlon has taken him to the very top of international sport, hunting remains an important way for Johannes to slow down and reconnect with nature. For him, time spent in the mountains and forests offers a different kind of focus – one rooted in patience, respect for wildlife and the traditions of the outdoors.

His favourite Chevalier garments are the Pointer Pro Jacket and Pointer Pro Pants. The lightweight, weatherproof construction and quiet fabrics make them ideal for active days in the mountains, where freedom of movement and reliable protection are essential.

"In biathlon everything is about precision and performance. I appreciate clothing that works the same way in the mountains – reliable, functional and built for real conditions. That’s why I choose Chevalier."

Joacim Rickling, hunter, farmer, and ambassador for Chevalier

Ambassador Joacim Rickling

Absolute hunting, Sebastian Grundahl hunter, dog handler and ambassador for Chevalier

Ambassador Absolutjakt

Ambassador Joacim Rickling

Joacim Rickling is a hunter, farmer, and TV personality, known from “Farmer seeks wife” where he quickly became one of Sweden's most beloved participants. On his farm in Uppland in Sweden, he lives close to nature and works on the farm daily—a lifestyle where hunting is also a natural and important part.

For Joacim, hunting is about tradition, responsibility, and closeness to nature. It's a way to manage wildlife populations while making the most of what nature provides. Whether it's drive hunting or quiet moments in the forest, he values the calm, the silence, the sense of community, and the feeling of being part of something bigger.

With a daily life marked by physical work and long days outdoors, Joacim has high demands for his gear. As an ambassador for Chevalier, he appreciates clothing that combines durability with comfort and functionality—clothes that hold up in the forest, during hunts, and while working on the farm.

"For me, it's important to have clothes that work in all situations – from working on the farm to hunting trips. They should be durable, comfortable, and able to stand up to real use."

Favorite type of hunting: Stalking

Favorite game: Fallow deer

Favorite items from Chevalier: Hunter Zip Hoodie, Axe Overshirt, Spey stretch pants, Ranger Haul bag

Ambassador Absolutjakt

For Absolutjakt - Sebastian Grundahl - hunting is above all about the interaction with the dogs. The long days in the forest, where the dog works and you follow the hunt together, that's what makes hunting special. With his pointing dogs, Absolutjakt mainly focuses on moose and wild boar hunting, where both the dog's work and the excitement of the hunt itself are central.

As a dog handler, Sebastian spends many long days out in the forest and therefore has high demands on his equipment. The clothes need to work during active hunting days and provide the right protection and freedom of movement, whether it's following the dog through the forest or being ready when the hunt suddenly heats up. For Sebastian, Chevalier is associated with the right equipment for dog handlers – functional garments you can rely on when the hunting day gets long.

"For me, hunting is very much about the interaction with the dog. Spending long days together in the forest and seeing the dog at work is a big part of what I enjoy about hunting. I need gear that works just as well as me and the dog – throughout the entire hunting day.”
